2025 Camping Update
2025 brings some changes to our campground!

Our RV park with 40 stalls will be opening on May 15th of 2025.

Each site has 30 & 50 amp electric hook-up, fire ring and picnic table.
- The bathroom/shower house construction was completed this fall and will also be open May 15th.

Potable water spigots for filling tanks will be available onsite. See camp host for use.

Dump station available for use by paying campers. See camp host for use. $10/dump for non-campers.

RV camping will be $40/night unless otherwise posted. Primitive camping will continue to be $15/night for all standard campsites except #7 being $30/night.

Camping season will be May 15th - October 31st.
Registration
Online reservations for the RV park and primitive camping sites 7 and 19-27 may be made online at https://app.fireflyreservations.com/Reserve/Property/QuarrySpringsPark
Primitive campsites 1-6 and 8-18 will be first come, first serve with onsite registrations. Self-registration for those campsites is available near the entrance of the primitive campground. Campsite 7 is for large group camping. Primitive campsites are restricted to tent camping and pull behind campers UNDER 15 feet in length that don’t require hook-up. All other RV’s must utilize the RV campground or the south side of the main parking lot for overflow space. Please contact Park Host for further details beginning May 15th.
Park is open 24 hours. The entrance for the primitive campground is located due south of the office. The road winds around the southwest corner of the island. The road is around .5 miles long. The speed limit is 5 mph and we expect that to be followed.
Camping Rules

Large organized groups can contact the park for special arrangements at 515-478-6272.

All visitors must leave and quiet hours must be observed from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am, including generators.. Excessive noise of any kind will not be allowed. The Colfax Police Department patrols the park 24 hrs. .

Camper checkout is 1:00 PM.

If there is a need to have a police officer deal with an issue, please call Jasper County Dispatch at 641-792- 5912.

All animals must be on a leash at all times.

Limit of occupancy is 14 consecutive days. Campers are then required to leave the park for 72 hours.

Fires are permitted only in fire rings. Do not move the rings.

All garbage must be placed in refuse containers. Do not put garbage in the fire rings!

There is no swimming or ice fishing allowed anywhere within the park!

Firewood is available for $7 per tub. Contact Campground Host for assistance, call park phone at 515-478-6272, or request with your reservation.

Park staff are given authority to refuse camping privileges and to rescind any and all camping permits for cause with NO refunds.
